Beaverhausen’s designer couple Mimy A. Diar and Ad Luijten got the idea for their pendant when looking for a fixture that wouldn't obscure the view from their kitchen. Named after the French word for light—"lumière”—LU contrasts a thin curved shade with a thicker vertical element that visually connects with the lines of plants and trees outside their window. The profile of the lampshade is minimal at eye level but, once seated below at a table, it fills a room with reflected illumination.
