Ghost Floor Lamp: Quick Ship

Andreas Kowalewski offers a larger Ghost version to perch on the floor in his lighting series that's a riff on antique portable oil lamps. A slim metal rod surrounds the opal glass shade protectively and alternately functions as a handle for moving the lamp around. Also resembling the illusion of a white cloth thrown over a light source, the subtle vertical grooves on the surface fade out gradually upwards, emphasizing the lamp’s refined sculptural character.
