Fontana Alta Floor Lamp

Description

More than 50 years after its creation, Santa & Cole introduces a floor-standing Fontana, with the same futuristic half-sphere bisected by an unmistakable slit that subtly illuminates the periphery. Barcelona's André Ricard took the design cue for his 1970 pendant from famed Argentinian artist Lucio Fontana, who rocked the art world by slashing his neat oil paintings. In turn, the bisected lamp’s glossy white metallic shade has a matte-finish interior that houses an efficient built-in LED light plate and translucent acrylic diffuser to lend a soft and glare-free atmospheric glow.
