Berlin-based designer Stephanie Jasny had an unusual point of departure for her elegant wooden armchair with a solid oak or walnut frame. Finding a vintage image of clothes pegs from the early 20th century for inspiration, she borrowed the shape of the peg's slot as the chair's joinery, with slotted legs holding the curved backrest, which almost seems to unfurl like a piece of laundry in the wind. Comfortably proportioned, Mava's airy look makes it perfect to bring warmth to smaller spaces.
