Only then did he find a way to gracefully integrate the molded plastic seat with the steel chair frame for a clean silhouette. And the sturdy materials and contoured shape mean hours of comfortable seating. "I had an idea of what the ideal chair should look like," Simon says. "I analyzed hundreds of chairs from different periods during the design process."
