With this addition, Danish maker Muuto offers a stackable version of Mika Tolvanen's signature Visu Chair. Intended for both home and office use, the curved shell is highly versatile in either natural oak or lacquered ash veneer, with a powder-coated steel tubing base. Though it took 2 years for Helsinki-based Mika to perfect Visu (and its name reflects that exactitude-the Danish word means "precision"), in the end what matters most to the designer is function over form: "What really defines objects is how we use them, not what they appear to be."
