Pelleossa's stripped-down elegance is reflected in its name, which literally translates to €œskin and bones.€ Milan designer Francesco Faccin's handcrafted solid ash chair with a stretched leather or fabric seat combines the best of traditional workmanship and modern production methods. Each one is made with a conventional €œturn and copy€ lathing technique, where the repetition of only 2 diameters optimizes the usable material. Stackable up to a height of 5, Pelleossa's genius is all in the details, like the way the turned legs join the backrest, which tilts out slightly at the top for added comfort.
