Massproductions’ cofounder Chris Martin configures Landa, a table undergirded by 2 parallel steel beams that enables it to have a long unbroken span. Nodding to NASA’s famed 70s-era Lunar Module, he angles the legs similarly to those on the moon-landing spacecraft. From a structural point of view, the angled legs with their flexible self-leveling feet assure that the table becomes a stable, “landed” piece, even on uneven surfaces. Made of steel with either an oak veneer or laminate tabletop, Landa comes in a variety of options and sizes in both dining and counter heights.
