Noted for the way it comfortably spreads a person’s weight across a larger area than usual, Long Chair was designed soon after Marcel Breuer settled in England in 1935. Now a modernist beacon for its early use of molded plywood, the bent frame of laminated birch supports a shaped seat and back. Isokon’s chair remains handmade in London with the same rigor as the original.
