An innovation in technology and light art: Halo’s matchless purity of tint comes from white light refracted through a prism—not a colored LED. Mounted on a slender rod anchored by a solid-iron base, the rotatable head element is carved from a solid plate of black anodized aluminum, brass and glass. Both the direction and angle of the illumination can be moved, allowing for a play on the circular shape and mood. Milan design studio Mandalaki developed the sophisticated system to paint an environment “like an optical brush.”
