Renowned Danish designer Børge Mogensen believed that simple, unadorned designs honored the beauty that lies in fine materials, in this case, the wood and brass elements of his BM67 Coffee Table. Reflecting his view that the ordinary can be made extraordinary, the functionally-driven, circa-1956 design has only a few select components, starting with a solid oak or walnut framework with a sledge base. Stretchers in either raw brass which will patinate over time or a black finish subtly highlight the table’s exposed construction underneath, part of its wonderfully individualistic appeal.
