Kelim (or kilim, as it more commonly known) is a pile-less handwoven patterned rug and Ferm Living reimagines the form in a host of contemporary geometrics defined by imaginative color-blocking. Using the manual Punja loom, one of the oldest weaving techniques, each rug carries the subtle variations of the artisan's hand. Kelim's weave and the wool surface have a unique, coarse feel as well as a characteristic shading that occurs when the yarn is hand-dyed. In a range of sizes and patterns, the rug is a marvelous way to define a space and create a sense of coherence in a room.
