The heralded Samurai Yasuke arrived from Africa to Japan as a slave, and he has been celebrated since the mid-16th century. He is also the inspiration for this table lamp by Caroline Ziegler and Pierre Brichet, hand crafted in France by DCW Éditions. The double-column design is topped by a domed wire shade, the screen effect diffusing a warm glow from an integrated LED light source. Graphic, futuristic and a statement.
