Induction Tube Light
Description
With the Induction Tube Light, Castor has it all down to a science. The Toronto-based design house looks to the principle of the attraction of a magnetic field. When the fluorescent tube is placed in the lamp's steel base, an electrical current is wirelessly transferred to activate the light. Illumination will then continue even if it is lifted several inches away from the support. The Induction Tube Light comes with a 6-foot and a 17-inch bulb for floor or desk lighting. Base in a choice of geometric shapes, milled from solid steel and plated in black chrome. Castor founders Brian Richer and Kei Ng continue to explore the middle ground between art and design.
