A leader in post-war Danish modernism, Børge Mogensen debuted BM1160 Hunting Table at the 1950 Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition, named for that year’s"hunting cabin" theme. A model of restraint, the rounded edges, tapered legs and gentle curves create an elegantly fluid form, with stainless steel stays for stability. With a solid oak or walnut frame, the tabletop is finished with solid wood edging for durability. Contrasting mortise-and-tenon joints (walnut on the oak table, oak on the walnut table) add a subtle fillip.
