Somewhat of an avatar for Japanese modernist maker By Interiors, the lightweight but incredibly sturdy Tee Table cleanly spans its extended rectangular length without any extraneous supports. A unique aluminum-honeycomb panel top, surfaced in a choice of laminate or wood, provides all the strength needed in designer Tomoya Tabuchi’s breakthrough concept. In turn, the legs are easily screwed into the top panel without any tools via customized joinery. Marrying Tomoya’s inspiration and the brand’s technological know-how, Tee garnered the Good Design Award, one of Japan’s top honors.
