The MagTek USB KB 2-Track Magnetic Swipe Card Reader is a compact magnetic stripe card reader with a single read head. A card is read by sliding it, stripe down and facing the LED side, through the slot either forward or backward. A built-in 6 foot USB cable allows for connection and compatibility with any PC, computer, or terminal with a USB interface, and also serves as the power source so no external power supply is required. The Reader also emulates a USB Human Interface Device United States keyboard or optionally all international keyboards using ALT ASCII code keypad key combinations or customizable key maps, which allows host applications to seamlessly acquire the card data from the USB swipe reader.
