Renowned for the defining simplicity of their work, Hvidt & Mølgaard designed Tripod in 1953 but only now is it being produced by &Tradition. In line with the pioneering duo’s original sketches, the floor lamp takes shape in matte-lacquered steel with brass details, striking a delicate balance between its clean angular line and the softness of the curved edges at the base. The distinctive shade is spun from a single piece of aluminum and the base is made from bent steel tubes and welded together in this now-rediscovered midcentury masterstroke.
