In either its square or rectangular version, Oblique extends its slim dimensions and modernist elan as a generously proportioned coffee table. Designers Claesson Koivisto Rune originally came up with the look when they were furnishing the compact confines of a hotel project. Diagonal elements add visual intrigue, as suggested by the piece's name which means tilting in French. Fashioned in square steel rods with a metal-plate top and finished with a durable and smooth metallic bronze powder coating, Oblique is handmade in Sweden for boutique brand Asplund.
